This Springhill Suites hotel in Houston, Texas experienced water damage in 2022 that affected the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors including guest rooms, corridors, and bathrooms. An insurance water remediation contractor completed the initial demo and water dry out. GLR was called for the rebuild and our team was on site the next day to assess the affected areas. Protection was installed for carpet, furniture, AC units, light fixtures, and finishes not affected by water damage. Once the dry out was confirmed, our team began to reconstruct the damaged areas with new insulation and sheetrock. All the affected areas were then finished, primed, and painted. New flooring was put down, casegoods refinished, and new furniture was installed to complete the renovation of the rooms affected by water damage. In the end, the property owner was able to save time and money working with GLR for the reconstruction instead of the water remediation contractor.
